For U.S. citizen parents to sponsor an adult child for U.S. permanent residence, the parents must first file an immigrant petition with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and obtain approval. Once the petition is approved and the case proceeds through the required processing, the adult child attends an immigrant visa interview at the U.S. Embassy.

Our client initially prepared and submitted the documents required for the immigrant visa interview to the National Visa Center (NVC) without legal assistance. However, due to deficiencies in the documentation, the case remained unable to move forward for approximately a year and a half.

After retaining LawAmerica, the client’s NVC-stage documents were supplemented and accepted, and the case successfully cleared NVC processing.

The client subsequently attended the immigrant visa interview without encountering any difficult questions, and the immigrant visa was approved.
